“Dream on Drafting” show Thursday

The Northern Vance High School will hold its annual “Dream On Drafting” Show on Thursday, January 7, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the H. Leslie Perry Memorial Library.
Admission to the event is free. Expected attire is business formal (shirt & tie).
The Northern Vance High School Jazz Band will perform at the function, and refreshments will be served.
According to drafting instructor Jeff Arthurs, this year’s show will a full 3D solid model of a 1952 Corbitt truck. The young draftsmen and women have teamed up with Charles Powell and the Corbitt Preservation Association in support of the 100 year anniversary of the Corbitt truck coming up this spring.
The show will feature dream houses, cars, and machines.

This is a beautiful display of talent and hard work! I do hope anyone that can will come to the Perry Library today and spend time in the McGregor Hall Gallery looking at the detail of these many drawings. It is very nice!

The “Dream On” drafting exhibition last night at McGregor Hall was a wonderful event for all that participated and attended. Thank you to all the volunteers who brought refreshsments and helped make the night a success. Special kudos to Jeff Arthurs, Carolyn Powell, Mr. Arthurs’ Northern Vance students, and the Northern Vance jazz band.

The event last night in McGregor Hall was a great event…the NV Band Ensemble played excellent music..I enjoyed it immensely from my work station inside the Library! Thank you for such a nice outing for the public to enjoy!
