HPD makes arrest for concealed weapon
On February 3, 2010 around 1:30 a.m. a patrol officer with the Henderson Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 200 Block of Lincoln Street in Henderson, North Carolina.
Upon stopping, the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
After a short foot chase, the suspect, Rakim Jaburr Henderson of 219 Lincoln Street, Henderson was apprehended.

After a search of the area where the suspect fled, a loaded handgun was located.
Henderson was arrested and charged with resisting, delaying and obstructing, assault on a government official, and carrying a concealed weapon. He was given a secured bond of $2,000 and remains in the Vance County Jail pending an initial court appearance on March 16, 2010.
Rakim Henderson is currently out on a $30,000 secured bond for a June 7th, 2009 arrest for Possession of a Stolen Firearm. The arrest occurred at Lincoln Heights Apartment and the firearm was taken from a vehicle on Apple Street, Henderson on April, 6th, 2008.

Once again, HPD acts to get a dangerous criminal off the streets…..one who has now been caught with concealed weapons on two occasions. Yet, he had been out on a 30,000 bond, and now the Magistrate set bond at $2,000.00 for this second offense. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH OUR MAGISTRATES? Can’t they see that by setting these low bonds, these slimeballs will go about creating more havoc in the community. Vote these Magistrates out now. Better yet, write to •Honorable Sarah Parker, Chief Justice, N.C. Supreme Court. Let’s write Chief Judge Parker to rid Vance County of these bums who set low bail on these criminals.

Magistrates are out to lunch–literally as well as figuratively.

It’s simply a racket for the lawyers and judges. Catch and release. Catch and release. If all of these bad guys were locked up, then the $$ would dry up also.
