4. Well, I think it is pretty durn messed up of people in the community to make stupid childish comments and not even know the people you are talking about. As well for MR. CURRIN we all know he is crooked and a liar, look at the Mr. new sheriff’s case with his daughter. Lord, talk about sweeping under the rug. UMM To bad some people in the White House are already aware and watching the doings of this fine community and the officials. Time to watch the fire works, that our hard earned tax dollars pay for. And , again we all believe we havea systemthat you are innocent til proven guilty, and now we have a X cop with a good record to the community, that did his job and gave currin work to do. And wham people make bogus and exagerated comments going to court. And, now this man wants to put someone as sick as him in JAIL!!!! Durn it already cost us over 3000.00 a month for two aids patients meds a month. And this man is to sick to do anything!!!!!! Funny when My X husband beat me, bruised me, and they saw the proof. The lovely DA’s let him walk free after not one but several Domestic Violence charges were filed. I say, I think its time for a new DA, and a investiagation of his past cases.

6. OK. I have a question. From reading on hear, I’ve sensed that only white people can be racist. OK. I can understand that line of thinking. If I’m black and teach my child to hate white people, am I not being racist? Or elitist? To me hate is just HATE. No color origin attached.

7. Well, well, well; will someone please call the producers of Law & Order and get them down to Vance County. Seems enuff legal drama has gone on in this county the past 2 years to start a new spin off. “Law & Order VC (Vance County). Staring Sam Currin and his crew, Tony Finch, Peter White, Shahita White, Vance County Sherriff’s Dept. and any of the crocked lawyers running up and down Garnett St. and Young St. who want to get their 5 minutes of fame.
   Honestly though my question goes out to the sherriff, the police chief and the D.A.’s office. Why is it that a woman that is driving carelessly, down the wrong side of the road, refuses a breath-alyzer, slaps an officers/deputy’s arm out of the way (isnt this assualting a law enforcement officer?) then goes and gets in her car and waits for daddy to come get her was allowed to go home and sleep in her own bed after all of this but a man who was arrest for supposidly communicating a threat (not physically assualting the D.A.) is thrown in jail and locked up like a common crimminal. Oh; I think I can answer that question myself. 1. He is being railroaded. 2. His daddy isnt the sherriff. 3. Sam Currin and the rest of the D.A.’s are as crooked as Lynnbank Rd. 4. Sam Currin has a vendetta against Tony Finch. 5. Sam Currin was made to look stupid with the Peter White/Shahita White incident and has egg on his face. 6. Sam Currin is mad at Tony Finch because Tony took out papers on Sam Currin for having his truck towed illegally and stating that the vehicle was being towed at owner’s expense and now the county has to reimburse Tony for the expense of towing it. Another question I have for Sam Currin is how was it Tony Finch communicated a threat to you on Monday when Tony Finch wasnt even in Vance County til after 9 that night. That’s right Tony left the county early that morning to take care of personal business with a few of his friends and did not return til after 9. And for those of you thinking Tony is such a racist let it be known that 3 of these friends that were with him all day were African-americans. That’s right they were black guys whom Tony has known for several years. Sam Currin I hope you can sleep tonight after making a grown man break down into tears by railroading and running ruff shot over a man who spent his entire career in law enforcement here in Henderson/Vance Co. and was a well respected member of the law enforcement community only strived to better the relationships between civilian and law enforcement while you and your counterparts (lawyers and attorneys) sat up at the Silo in the afternoons drinking your drinks; wheeling and dealing and letting the true criminals walk free with just a slap on the hand. To bad you arent as he!! bent on solving the Alice Burgess murder mystery as you are locking up Tony Finch. Maybe you, Jerry Ayscue and Peter White need to go ahead and retire. Maybe the S.B.I. needs to investigate you while they are down here in Vance Co.

17. To note it is awefully funny that the way the ? communitcated threats the way it was done was never said so how can a warrant be taken out on someone with out stating how they did it???? That shows our vance co. school system really helped them. As, well What in the WORLD does it matter where his T shirt come from?? OR tatoos? Lord did someone have to make up stuff to fill up the front page? And a bluetooth. What is this suppose to mean? To be more demeaning to him and my family????? And no one has him in court???? So I guess he could have freedom of speech and no one else can.? But , I guess no one has the umph to take our papers on him for racial issues . And , I guess no white man can have a opinon or say anymore unless it is approved by all others, NOT!!! To me race is not a issue,,,,, There are people that are trying to get a free ride and support from who or what ever they can. Poor poor me,,,, And while on the subject of crooks, Peter whites daugher can literally assault a officer and get sassy and go home. And, paper work changed and disappeared . If you don’t make your kids pay for their mistakes then they will never learn. And funny how I see online that just because he is a DA it is a felony charge and not a lesser charge and would be if it had of been joe smoe. Currin is not better than anyone else in this county, And my X threatend to kill me, put a gun in my face and walked!!!!! The gun was put in my face at the time i was holding our two month old. But our laws say his life and well being are more impt than mine and my childs?? All women need to take note. As well as others in our community. I feel that they are looking to get marked on the map so they are grabbing what ever fish they can to take the Main eye off of what is going on. 19. Awww poor Tony Finch …he is being railroad. Bull had they put his ass away the first time, then he wouldn’t have threatened anyone, be it Sam Currin or anyone else. Yet he got away with a slap on the hand, left in the general public to do what he wanted to anyone he wanted. One thing I can say is this, he is not only a threat to one race, but a threat to all, including an officer of the courts. I wonder how this will play out. Will Sam make sure that he spend time in jail or will he say that he really didn’t mean any harm. My guess is that Sam is gonna make sure that he spend some time in jail this time. Funny thing is the first time someone is accused of being a racist the first thing they say is ” I have several white/black friends. Or my all time favorite, “my best friend is white/black”. Some of you two faced people always find a way to twist things for your benefit. I am surprised that some of you didn’t say “if they kill Sam then one of the problems would be eliminated”. Thats how stupid some of you are. Strangely enough Tony has someone that wants to clear his name and say he was with some black friends and didn’t come back until after 9 pm that night. Were you one of those “black friends”. Let the people that he was with that are not criminals themselves come forward and say that.

24. Tony Finch served the citizens of Henderson as a police officer for over 20 years. Like most officers, he continued to live paycheck to paycheck on a pitiful salary, but he developed serious health problems that forced him into early retirement several years ago. Financial difficulties and declining mental health also began to take its toll and he has become progressively worse over the past several years (but that’s obvious, isn’t it?)

    I am not defending anything he may or may not have said or done. I am asserting that HE HAS SERIOUS MENTAL & PHYSICAL HEALTH PROBLEMS now and needs to receive psychological and medical treatment rather than jail time.

    Unfortunately, our failed mental health system is another story altogether.

25. Woooooooooo! Glad he wasn’t Finches attorney. Wheres the group now? Are they coming for this one ? Just goes to show all are human and can make mistakes, can be minor or major messy ones. Depression is not a excuse or a joke to take lightly. There are two men on the front page that people should be praying for , and not sitting and waiting to see whats left of their lives to tear apart. I work in the medical feild, not here thank goodness. But, I can say as a community and supposily a bibile belt state. Reach out to your fellow man, Not slam the door in their faces. Such, as Tony threating to harm. He cant walk up steps with out having to stop to catch his breath. There is not much life left in him, his proginosis is poor. And, I am sure there are more things for a man of currins statue to be afraid of. But, I am not taking up for this attorney, but you know you don’t know diddly until you have walked a mile in another mans shoes. There are doctors here that have to much on their plate. And have you ever known a man to ever say I can’t take more , or have more money, or finish anything? Plus, just because this man is seeking and getting treatment doesn’t mean he is cured either. Things take time, depression, and COPD, asthma, Emphezima, Two hip replacements, Brain damage are Dx of the two men. So , to those interested use your computer and look it up.

27. I just thought readers may be interested in learning why the alleged threat against DA Sam Currin was a FELONY charge:

    NC law 14-16.7 states that “(a) Any person who knowingly and willfully makes any threat to inflict serious bodily injury upon or to kill any legislative officer, executive officer, or COURT officer, shall be guilty of a felony and shall be punished as a Class I FELON. (b) Any person who knowingly and willfully deposits for conveyance in the mail any letter, writing, or other document containing a threat to inflict serious bodily injury upon or to kill any legislative officer, executive officer, or court officer, shall be guilty of a felony and shall be punished as a Class I felon. NC law 14-16.8 states, “In prosecutions under G.S. 14-16.7 of this Article it SHALL NOT BE NECESSARY TO PROVE THAT ANY LEGISLATIVE OFFICER, EXECUTIVE OFFICER, OR COURT OFFICER ACTUALLY RECEIVED THE THREATENING COMMUNICATION OR ACTUALLY BELIEVED THE THREAT.”

    Now the Communicating Threats law that applies to us “commoners” is only a misdemeanor offense. NC law 14-277.1 reads, “(a) A person is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor if without lawful authority: (1) He willfully threatens to physically injure the person or that person’s child, sibling, spouse, or dependent or willfully threatens to damage the property of another; (2) The threat is communicated to the other person, orally, in writing, or by any other means; (3) The threat is made in a manner and under circumstances which would cause a reasonable person to believe that the threat is likely to be carried out; and (4) The person threatened believes that the threat will be carried out. (b) A violation of this section is a Class 1 misdemeanor.

    In other words, if we citizens are threatened directly to our faces and we BELIEVE the threat, then the offender is charged with a MISDEMEANOR.

    BUT, if a Judge or DA or legislator is threatened, it is a FELONY even if they never even received or believed the threat!

    Gee, Who makes these laws?!? Never mind, we know who makes these laws.

    Female voice to officer: “Tell me what’s going on.”
    Officer: (…explains the charge…)

    Female voice to officer: “When did this take place?”
    Officer: “Monday”

    Female voice to officer: “Who said it took place?”
    Officer: “He’ll get that on his Discovery.”

    The officer had clearly been briefed by someone in how he was to answer that question. This really ALERTED me becuase I have been working in a Courthouse setting for over 10 years and have NEVER EVER seen anyone charged with a crime and then jailed WITHOUT them being notified WHO is the complainant.

    And the officer said that Finch could get that information (through the Discovery process) when he goes to court? There MUST be MORE to this story!

30. North Star (post 17) that was my first thought when I saw the picture and through all except the last few seconds of the video clip. This is a blog on the internet that alone makes everything here subject for confirmation as to its validity and accuracy. The very last few seconds of the video reveal the reality of this event. Those last few seconds also revealed just how mentally challenged Mr. Finch is. Listen to his voice and the abrupt change in person.

    Fortunately for us all he only threatened harm he did not do any physical harm. I think Mr. Finch is in need of help, the kind of help that as a society we are very reluctant to acknowledge or pay for. If he is a retired Henderson Police Officer lets all hope that as such his retirement package includes deep pockets necessary for funding the help for Mr. Finch to regain a level of normality and function without being a danger to him self or society as a whole.

About as bad as the article relating to Bernarrd Alston losing his law license that never mentioned he was a city councilman. Does the newspaper not think this is worthy to the readers and citizens that a city leader has disgraced himself and this is a reflection on the city. The ethics committee of the city council needs to call for his resignation immediately! Oh, Thats right I forgot… I believe the ethics committee that was lead by Elissa Yount has disbanded now that she is gone. What a joke of an article and of a leader!

I hope the DA,s office will help Mr. Finch get medical treatment and anger management for his behavior.He needs this to solve the problem instead of jail time.And since Mr.Finch did give 20 years of his life helping others through his previous Law Enforcement career he does need to be treated the same way as one of the members of the DA,s office was treated a few years back.I was told by an officer that one of them got arrested and charged by the SHP for DWI in Franklin County a few years back when he was a court official and he had his case dismissed.So lets be fair.

39. Thank you to Steve currin, If we don’t treat the people in our community for their illnesses it will only get worse. As, with Whites daughter she should have spent the night in jail, If she was my daughter she would have. Hopefully , it would have been a wake up call to her now rather than, a few months or years later after she kills a family in a car or herself. I know it is first instinct to protect our children. But, come on. And, Mr. Sam Currin there are people in the community that are not going to let the attention get away from the White case, and put Tony. Cause if your a part of it in any way , I hope they remove you from your position.

40. To add I do hope that the woman that works in the court house that told her child she heard Tony yells such to Mr. Currin. I hope this is not political lying to get a raise or bonus. Not only that but why would you tell your child this. I would like to know how. He was not in TOWN, HE HAS Several people to account for him, as well as pulled phone records as we speak. I don’t think people realize what all of this has done to his family and to him. Or what he has gone through the past several years. But there are people raising money for him to get a real non railroading attorney, that know the real law to come here.

42. I think our DA is trying to shift some of the spotlight for all the troubles that SHERIFF W has caused. Has he failed in upholding his duties as a DA? Has SHERIFF W failed in his duties as our top law officer? I think the list of failures could go on and on as a matter of fact. Are we ready for a change? Did we fail our community by not getting out and voting when we had the oppurtunity? We have a say in all of the political BS that goes on daily in our community. We get that chance every time there is an election. Please make an effort to get out and vote. Reguardless of which way you choose to vote, simply vote. As long as our local system is run by less than 25% of the voters then it is easier for the elections to be railroaded and the powers to be, remain. As a community we need to come together and work toward making this a better place to live. We can do that best by voting.

One would have to wonder how much of the incident reported in the local paper of a group of teenagers out drinking [underaged] and suspected of blowing up mailboxes was swept under the rug. Was one of the reporter’s questions, “Where did you get your shirt?” The man is being charged with a Felon and is emotionally upset…I really hope that “Where did you get your shirt” was not a question. I also failed to read in Mr. Alston’s story that he is a city council. You can’t rely on the dispatch its “selective” news. I think that the” Henderson Daily Dispatch” should be renamed the “Henderson Daily Disgrace.”

50. This response it to “have a heart”, you must be kidding. That is what most of these Vultures of HiH do. They dwell on one person’s wrong doings all the while condoning the others. I said it once I will say it again, if Tony Finch had been placed in jail or at the least in a mental institution the first time he would not be in the news today.
    If you take notice, no one had the nerve or heart to say that Tony Finch did wrong, but look how they are constantly bi#$hing about Sheriff White’s daughter and Attorney Alston. Oh they say the Daily Dispatch didn’t say Attorney Alston is a councilman. Maybe this is already known that he is. Tony Finch is a bomb waiting to happen, but someone is saying no one knows the “hell our family” is going through. Ok the family is going through hell cause they knew that he needs Psychiatric help and the family needs to go through hell because they have not gotten it for him. They are just as guilty as he is. Yes every since I have known him he has basically been a good person up until recently, although I have never had a problem with him nor he with me.
    Its not like Sheriff White hasn’t gone through hell because his daughter did something wrong. He didn’t do what she has been charged with.
    Attorney Alston didn’t take care of his affairs properly ok now he is going through hell. Oh the vultures are not finished, they want more. They want him to resign. They will continue to dig.
    Hopefully all of these events will condition the people that were mentioned. But for “whilte house pay attention” how fair is it for you to feel that Tony Finch shouldn’t be ridicule for his wrongs and everybody else should. After all he placed himself in that position. He got away with the first thing now he has tried something else. If you knew the condition that he was in long before now and you are so compassionate about him and his well being, maybe you should have gotten him the help that he has needed for a while.
    These vultures want blood, but what about the man and woman that were chased from Vance County to Granville County. Did they deserve to be chased by a man waving a gun? They went to court for Finch to get a slap on the hand, which is just as bad as catching your child doing something really bad and saying thats ok baby I know you didn’t mean to do that “I forgive you” then they turn around and do something worse and you look at them and say thats ok. Come on now be realistic.
    Sam Currin did not deserve possibly threatened. As to the threat or what kind of threat I do not know, I was not there. But being a ex-police if he (Finch) was in his right mind, he had to know what the consequences were. Even if not in his right mind seems to me he would know better. But he suppossedly called The Dispatch to meet him there. I wonder why he would think he would be arrested.

Tony Finch has been charged with a crime “again” and some of you want to chalk it up to a serious mental health problem. We should have so much sympathy for him, but Shahita should have been tasered, thrown to the ground and arrested according to some of you.. Vance County is one of the most racist towns in the state. ONE warning ticket from a SHP that followed me get this four miles and the min. I put on my signal to turn into my job he put on the blue lights. AND, then told me ughh your being pulled due to your blown head lamp, which wasnt , loose wire. Then for those who don’t know it’s a state law to have your license on u at all times. IT took him over 15min to give me this warning. And knew all along he was making me late for work. They need to concentrate on the drug dealers and gangs, along with the idiots that put video online of andrews ave. calling it a HOOD!!! GET over it you idiots!!!! Your not going to turn our little town in to a thug haven. More citizens are watching and going to run your butts out of our community. WE ALL NEED TO TAKE A STAND. AND get rid of the crooks in office, as well as on our streets.

61. yes i would say finch has some mental issues, i can say I am his family. To those that don’t know him u don’t know what he has been through . And the fact he gave 20 years as a cop, well the ones he worked with seemed to toss hi aside after he was disabled all but two. He has been through a lot in his life , more than i have seem most men being able to take. The things he saw as a cop, were horrible and could screw anyone up. His father also severed the community for 20plus years til he died of the same illness Tony has now. He lost face as well as other great offices , DEA’s, etc that were handed ink slips when white came to office. I feel when all said and done Tony needs to sue him for slander, emotional distress, humiliation,etc. and according to my attorney he can even if he goes to jail. So , I hope someone has deep pockets. And let’s think does anyone feel putting him through this and putting him jail was the right approach.?????? NOT. And what comes out of our prison systems? I worked in one there is a revolving door, they dont get much help there either. They are repeated offenders. Plus they learn to do way more worse things in there. So yeah mentals probs. dont belong in jail, court order to a mental hospital yes or ordered therapy not around here, Raleigh would be better.

Explain to me this: Finch is accused of waving a gun, shouting racial slurs, following at high speed a couple to Granville County where he was arrested. (I must add by Law Enforcement of Granville County). Were they prejudice also? Shortly thereafter letters were sent out in the mail by a group to people in Vance County. The letters contained the names and addresses of several people. The letters were sent to not only white people but black people as well. Not too smart I would say, but I wonder what black person contacted this group to tell them what was happening? Yes there are some prejudice black people in Vance County, but the fact remains that there are still some prejudice whites too, as well as prejudice Hispanics. If anyone wants a good example of just how crooked and corrupt the judicial system is in Vance Co. just got to Friday’s edition of the Henderson Daily Dispatch main section and on one of the back couple of pages there was an article about DWI/DUI convictions in the state and how Vance Co. ranks last in the state on convictions but up in like the top 5 on motor vehicle deaths caused by drunk drivers. Now I have always thought that it was the DA’s job to prosecute offenders to the fullest extent of the law but it seems that the good ol’ boy system runs rampent and wild in Vance Co. There again Vance Co. ranks #1 in a negative statistic. #1 in teen pregnancies, #1 in AIDS patients, #1 in high school drop outs, #1 in unemployment,etc, etc, etc, etc…..does anyone see a trend? Seems now adays the best part of Vance Co. is what you see in your rearview mirror as you are leaving out of it crossing over into another county. If Sam Currin was soooooo worried about prosecuting and throwing someone in jail for something serious vs. someone making a general statement outloud and not to his face maybe Vance Co. wouldn’t be at the top of some of these list. Maybe Sam needs to call up Mike Nifong and talk to him about what can happen when you think that you can twist things around to make your case against someone stronger, lie, cheat, and try to cover up evidence.
    And to the writer from the Daily Dispatch, I have a Spiderman tshirt I bought from Wal-mart and one of those earpieces that connects to your cell phones and you put in your ear to hear and has the mic and a little alligator clip on it, and I have 5 tattoos….and I was speeding 65 in a 45 the other day….does what I was wearing at the time I was breaking the posted speed limit law have any bearing on what I was doing or why I was doing it?

A member of my family is being railroaded right now by thr DA & Assistant, he had the nerve to get out and walk on the street after dark neverless right in front of the Police station, got mugged, robbed was beat bad enough the HPD told him to go to the EMerg, room, the 3 attackers were still on the corner at the police station when he tried to get in to make a report[yes the doors to the police station are locked at night] and came after him again he clipped the drunkest on with his truck trying to get away the other two ran, they are now charging him with attemped murder. It was over 3 weeks befor he was ever charged they couldnt find the other 2, finally about a month later they decided to be wittness, there was no mugging just a arguement and the little 125 lb boy started it with a 38 year old man 2 in their 20s. no where eylse but Henderson, [ The little Asst. DA is the one pushing this one] but I have to say all the HPD that was involved and Sherif dept. were nice as they could be the night this went down. Request have been made to both parties asking for an immediate investigation into the actions present and past of the DA’s office here in Vance Co. Senators Burr, Dole and Berger should be getting request for investigation shortly along with memebers of the House of Representatives. 85. Can anyone out there answer a question or two I have about Sam Currin? Is this the same Sam Currin that was the Warren Co. DA in 2005 that was incharge of the investigation of Loria Williams and Robert Dunston and the illegal use of inmate labor? Is this the same Sam Currin that was the Vance Co. DA that in 2004 insisted on charging former animal control officer Johnny Jones for not destroying a pit bull? Is this the same Sam Currin that in June of 2005 was the Franklin Co. DA that was put in charge of investigating the Franklin Co. Sherriff Jerry Jones for the helicopter crash? Is this the same Sam Currin that in May of 2005 was the Franklin Co. DA that when Virginia Kelly’s body was found dead, from what he said the medical examiner said was a drug overdose but did not further the investigation to explain or investigate why she had bruises and a rupture spleen? Is this the same Sam Currin that in January of 2006 was Granville Co. DA and felt that the alledged theift of money from a drug fund by the Oxford Police Chief did not need further investigation or that the SBI did not need to be notified to help with the investigation and answer question brought on during what little investigation was done? Can any one answer these questions and if you can, can you answer one final question…Do you feel that this is the kind of DA Vance Co. needs representing them in the court room? Sam Currin has already shown numerous times just how crooked, under handed and unfair he is.

89. Old but not seen it all, that s nothing. Years ago A man was shot and drove himself to the HPD. And, bleed to death at the doors. No law enforcement in any town is perfect. That is obvious when we watch tv. And, as far as the fellow that made the comment if anyone read this about henderson what would they think. Well lets see??? The truth, And the people that live here want more and better and to grow. To have big and better things for our kids. Better schools and higher levels of education. The community (people) just do not know all that they have turned down. Richard Petty wanted to set up a nice set up at the lake. Walt Disney wanted to set something up at the lake. Could have had a water treatment plant to hold the growth of our community for many years to come for free from another company , if they let them come in and put a plant. But would they let them no. And why???? Cause their names would mean nothing anymore. One day theyll be old and gone, and hopefully our kids will have more sense and let our community grow or push the idiots out of the way of big and better things. I understand wrong is wrong , but if you never did what you should have in the first place shame on you, he could have been court ordered to a mental inst. NOT IN VC. NO, has anyone ever know of someone to go to several doctors, and get the same meds from them, and none of the doctors know the patient is taking thesame med four freaking times???? If the doctors or nurses dont take time to ask them you get over dosed. I work the medical scene, I ve seen it happen more than once, It’s to rushed and lack of communication. Any pt is going to do what the doc says. What have we heard about prednisone??? In increased amounts??? GEEEEEEE. Not an excuse a fact.

I am tired of people passing judgement on my uncle, and don’t know crap about him, what he has been through and is going through. I think the world of this man. He has been there for me and my kids when we needed it the most. 101. Look I have known Tony and his family for so many years. Myself and his Granddaughter grew up together and we still keep in touch. 104. #95 it is not a rumor,,,,,Miller brewer company in the 60’s wanted to build a brewery. You jacktails want people here to think it is rumor, pool rock satterwhite area for Petty. 107. #17 And funny how I see online that just because he is a DA it is a felony charge and not a lesser charge and would be if it had of been joe smoe. Threating a public official is a felony. Now for everyone else. Mr.Finch is innocent until proven guilty, just because he has been charged does not mean he has been convicted. The burden of proof is on the state. Translation the court system has to prove that Mr.Finch did in fact threaten the D.A. I am not sticking up for Mr. Finch nor am I condemning the man. I don’t know him personally so I can’t form an opinion one way or the other on him.

     As for the whole Peter White debacle. If what reportedly happened did in fact happen, steps should be taken to see that justice is served. This whole incident is shameful and should have never happened.

I would think if I was on probation and hadn’t done anything wrong I wouldn’t think to call the newspaper to meet me there. Yet if I had done something wrong, I would have called my attorney. 114. How interesting would it have been if someone may have “JUST HAPPENED” to be able to video the traffic stop in the Sheriff’s daughter incident?

     I am sure that it would have been hidden ever so nicely to prevent the public from knowing the REAL TRUTH!!

     There is a REAL BIG DIFFERENCE in Tony’s situation and the Sheriff’s situation. Tony has issues that need to be dealt with by professionals and I wish him the best.

     What excuse does our Sheriff have for the decisions he made on the night his daughter was stopped???? I think all of this publicity with Tony Finch was planned to take the heat off of our Sheriff. It’s real obvious!!

Richard Petty Enterprises was looking in the Pool Rock and Satterwhite Point areas to construct a convention center/resort, golf course, racetrack, and amusement park; Miller Brewing Company wanted to come into Vance Co. and build a brewery, build a new waste water treatment plant that was 30 years state of the art at the time, Disney was looking for land right off of I-85 to build an amusement park, Wal-Mart offered to buy all of the Rose’s Stores and their distribution center but Rose’s would not sell so Wal-Mart said they would just run them out of the business. Seems Wal-mart met their objective. Vance Co. has missed alot of chances to improve their social and economical status but closed minded, self-centered people that have the $$$$$$$$$ and the pull have allowed Vance Co. to be in the economic and social cesspool that they are in now.
     One more thing Ms. Lewis, if a white person did try to contact the KKK for help and that white person was not racist that white person would instantaneously be called a racist. If I am a christian and I talked to someone that was an atheist does that make me an atheist?
     Criminal Justice Grad: you are right on. Tony is innocent until proven guilty but you forget that this is Vance Co. and you are guilty no matter what unless you are stopped for DWI/DUI then you have a 75 to 80% chance of being innocent. Also in Vance Co. evidence can be made up or lost at anytime…just look at the Alice Burgess case. You are sooo right that if a threat is made by a person on an official of the court, even if the threat was not heard by or directed towards that official in person, the person making the threat can be charged with a felony….but if a normal everyday joe off of the street tells his buddy he is going to kill someone, and another person hears it and tells that person that the comment was made about, nothing can be done….always thought hearsay was inedmisable in court…seems there is always a loop hole to the law when it benifits someone in power.
     Rudy….we are still all waiting to hear the real story as to what happened on the day Tony was arrested in Oxford.

Guess my post to Retired School Teacher was toooo strong for the citizens of Vance Co. to handle so it wasn’t posted….simply stated if the teachers were allowed to teach and not spoon feed the students to pass the EOG’s and discipline was allowed in the school system maybe a person that is 14 would be on grade level and not on a third grade level. Kevin Dickerson file BOGUS charges based on just the party involved said and never took Tony Finch statement. tony asked them to call Vance Co or the owner of greenways auto salvage and then was told he was not calling any damn body neither was he. then slapped Finch in the face while he cuffed to a pole to take away his cell phone. they even lied about where evidence was found ande broke several laws that day. until this day Tony has not been allowed an SBI inversigation. Now if he was guilty why would he want the SBI here. The truth may come out.

Tony can’t even pick up his grand-daughter without the help of an inhaler and this kills him. Isn’t Sam Currin the DA in Granville Co. too? Well I thought Tony was suppose to go for his discovery hearing today and find out when and where and by whom he was being charged but when I spoke to Tony this morning he said he had not been told when or where he was to be for his discovery hearing and the calendars for district and superior court in Vance County already have two dates listed for his hearings. Seems Tony is being railroaded without due process……there still is a things such as due process in the NC legal system isn’t it?

153. Law & Order; why don’t you go and try to talk to the sherriff. He won’t even acknowledge a person’s presence if they go by and ask to speak with him. Sherriff Breedlove had an open door policy; if he was in his office and the door was open and you asked to speak to him you were more than welcome to come in, sit down and discuss your issues with him. Peter White has done nothing since the beginning of his little troubles with his daughter but avoid the public and avoid the press. All of the attempts to contact him by any form of media have gone unnoticed and any questions asked of him by the media have gone unanswered.
     Does anyone know if the courthouse has video cameras up at the front door to video tape anyone entering or exiting the courthouse? If so the video should be able to prove if Tony Finch entered the courthouse on Monday. I would say ask the deputies working the metal detector and xray if they saw him enter but you know they have already been interrogated by Sam Currin and told to lie.

161. Ya know its really sad how all the supporters of Finch arent willing to face the facts. I am just another person who has quietly followed this entire story, and it is crazy. And as for Mr. Orr stating that the couple came to his house and threatened him, then why are there no police reports showing that? Were the police even called? Probably not. And according to a friend, those bogus charges that Mr. Orr tried to use as bargaining tools were warranted on June 13th, which hello, was 5 days after this couple was chased!!! How am I the only one who can connect the dots? I do feel sorry for Finch in a way, only because he was lied to by his stepson. I also heard that a couple of hours before they were chased, Mr. Orr’s mother Lois spoke with the couple in the parking lot of the store, and there was never a harsh word spoken between them, and that she believed what Mr. Orr ( her own son ) had said about them threatening him was not true. Mr Finch is also on Overthrow.com a known hate group, with not one but TWO audio recordings of him asking them for help. So if the citizens of Vance County want to really know who turned it into a race case, ask Mr. Finch and before that, ask Mr. Orr, who has since joined this Overthrow, and has posted a thread about Sam Currin and all.

     A wonderful saying I heard years ago:

I have been confronted with an evil woman at the front desk, telling me he is not available and he will get back to me. The front desk lady has issues and a nasty attitude. 186. and yes my mom talked to the couple but tell the whole story. that was the second time they had came to my job the first time we called the police dept on them because they were being disruptive and using volgar language and james maye threatened to fight me. read the paper he admitted that they came to greenways to fight me. the 2nd time they pulled up to the store across the street from where i worked that’s where my mom worked. she saw them she asked jimmy was there a problem??? he said he was going to woop that skinny white mf ass across the street for getting his girlfriend fired. my mom then said that skinny white mf is my son and ain’t nobody going to whoop his ass. he then tells my mom he won’t mad at me but he was going to kill chris stegg the owner and yes a police report was made. and guess what else know it all? i had voice recordings on my cell phone of the couple making racist threats to me and michael abramowitz from the henderson daily dispatch heard that call???? Have you ever walked into the high school? If not please take a day and do so. If you have a child that goes there , walk them to class one day. I was a substitue teacher in the Vance County School System for over 12 years and 3 of those years I substitued at the High School. Have you ever sat foot over there and heard the language they use and the way they are allowed to act. All I heard was ni@@a this and ni@@a that and what up my ni@@a, what up my dawg. Walking around with their pants down to their knees, showing us what color boxer shorts they were wearing. Telling them to pull them up was useless. All you got was mouth from them saying mind your own f@%#*(g business and then try sending them to the office. What a joke; they welcomed the time at home away from school. Another thing that you have to deal with is the young girls of certain races telling the other ones about getting pregnant and how to use and abuse the system and how to have babies by more than one boy to get more than one check. That’s what our kids have to look forward to at the high school level in Vance Co. I know because I have been in the system as a substitue. So ridingthesun why don’t you go volunteer over at Northern or Southern and keep your mouth closed, your eyes and your ears open and then your mind will be opened by what you see and hear; and then maybe you can come on here and add your two cents worth.

193. Well it seems the powers that be felt my last post was again to big of a pill for the citizens of Vance Co. to swallow so I guess i need to adjust it a little. Now Ridingthesun…if you were to knock the teeth outta your kids mouth like you said you would do I hope that they would lock you up in a cell with some big ole’ tattooed up, long beared dude named BUBBA who was lonely and that he would end up punking you out and making you his girlfriend. Maybe what you should have said was you would give your child a good ole’ fashioned butt whipping like they use to do in the old days. Now as far as the education system goes in Vance Co. I was a substitute teacher in the system for over 12 years. 3 of those years I substituted at the high schools here. Now I have worked in both the state and federal prisons and the inmates at both places were 10 times more behaved and polite than the students at the high schools here in Vance County. Now as far as the language goes….you would be appauled at the number of times you hear a young black student call another one the “N” word. It’s “N” this and “N” that and what up my “N”. And as for the respect towards adults…well it certainly isn’t any. Tell one of them to pull up their pants and it’s F U. And sending them to the office….what a joke…does’nt do any good….they don’t care if they get a few days vacation at home. As for the young ladies…and I use that term very loosely….well all they care about is clubbing and who they are sleeping with and who is going to be their baby’s daddy. That’s right, they sit together in a group and give each other tips on how to work the system so they can get the most buck for their bang. Most of the teachers are just trying to make it to retirement without having a nervous breakdown. Why do you think there is a shortage of teachers in this state?
     Why don’t you take time out of your life and go over to one of the high schools and volunteer for a day or two. Keep your mouth closed, your eyes and ears open and just see what goes on and what is said and maybe your mind will be opened. When there is no control in the class room you tell me how a child is suppose to pay attention and learn. When a child can’t hear what the teacher is saying and has said something numerous times to the teacher about the jerks sitting beside them being to noisey and the teacher doesn’t do anything about it, tell me how they are suppose to learn.
     Now I’m not saying that it was right or wrong for a 14 y/o to say what she said but if she feels as strongly as she does then she has every right to express herself and no one has the right to judge her for choosing to use her freedom of speech.

212. wildman; roflmfao…you hit the nail right on the head….sad thing is now look at Soul City…the government gave them sooo much…a pool with tennis courts, a fire dept….health center….housing with paved streets and street lights….a park with a small lake….nice green grassey fields….industry(factory)……now look what they have…the pool is closed, the factory is now a soap plant for the prison system…the tennis courts are crap…half the street lights are blown or shot out…housing is now almost as bad as the old Beacon Lights Apartments…the fire dept. just got a their first new fire truck since the place was built but the building is falling apart (no heat, broken windows)…the park and fields are grown up…theres dumpsters over on the backside of the little lake….basically the place is a run down eyesore on the map of Warren County. All of this was paid for by the government and Floyd McKissick jumped ship and ran off with all of the money that was allotted by the government to run Soul City.

So I will say she is disrespectful within reason. In other words she is practicing what she has heard. So like it or not, I am wondering if this mental thing is a front. Was he evaluated? Turn up at those meetings for community relations, school board meetings, city council meetings, county commission meetings with type recorders and video camera. Get out to the polls and vote. Work the community you live in and get to know your neighbors and talk to them for God’s sake! You might find out that you are more alike than not.

     ps: Someone please invite Hillary’s daughter to come to vance co schools. She seems to have more sense than the average candidate and if she ever goes for the brass ring, I’m voting for her. She’s seen it all and in the public eye. The kid is well groomed.

A co worker that cried and complained everyday??, my bills, my girl, my kids, blah, blah, blah…. That is Rudy Orr, he sat there everyday crying to the women in the office then he would turn around and tell the boss that the women in the office were talking about him, just a bunch of lies. Why did Rudy Orr go to the law asking for protection from his own stepfather??? Why did Rudy Orr confess to a bailbonds person in Vance County that he lied and caused the whole incident when Finch chased Dionne and I??? Why was Rudy Orr not saying a word while Finch was free facing the charges that involved Dionne and I??? Now that Finch is locked up Rudy has a bunch to say right??? Rudy was only at one court date with Finch. Do you people know why?? Because Finch has Rudy terrified!!! Always has, that comes right out of Rudy’s mouth!! Rudy is probably happy that Finch is locked up that is why Rudy is talking this bull trying to give Finch support and get on his good side for when the time comes for Finch to be released. Rudy does not want Finch to be mad at him for all of this but Finch should be mad at no one else but Rudy as Rudy is the cause of all of this. ALL OF THIS!!!! As for Lois Finch, Dionne and I talked with her the day of the chase in the gas station parking where Lois works across the street from Greenway Auto Salvage, she asked me Jimmy my son Rudy said that you threatened his kids, I stood right there and expained too Lois Finch what was going on and that Dionne and I had NEVER threatened the lives of Rudy, his girlfriend or his kids. WE THREATENED NO ONE!!! I explained too Lois Finch that the problem was between Rudy and I since he wanted to lie too the boss and get Dionne fired. I told her that Rudy and I would settle it man to man. Lois Finch believed that Dionne and I had NOT said what Rudy told her that we said and she went back into her job and we went on our way. So when Dionne and I had went too Rudy’s house, fired of shots, knocked on his door and threatened to kill him and his family NEVER HAPPENED!!! THAT NEVER HAPPENED!!! Come to my house and do that the first thing that I would do is call the police why did Rudy NOT call the police???? Rudy you are a liar and a coward and after all of this time since this happened you still continue to lie that is SAD!!!!! You are fake man so just let this go and put it behind you as I have it’s over!!!!! Your stepfather is going to prison because of you what else do you want to do??, tell him another lie so he can get his self sentenced too life the next time that he listens too you Rudy??? LOL!!!

250. Post #244…I was there when both incidents took place, but because they were MEN, he didnt say anything about it EVER!! It was a “family” type of buisness, I mean we were all friends, and we joked with eachother daily. That just proves he was truly more offended by a woman than a man. The truth is, the day it started, he of course was complaining and I nicely told him if he wasnt happy there, to go do what made him happy. Somehow, he took offense to this statement, he called his sister who i was ALSO training because she had his car at lunch. When she pulled up, he ran out took his keys and threw rocks leaving the lot while he was on the clock. When she came in, she asked me what the f was up with him, and I told her and she laughed. She told me he was a b**** and that she had no dealing with him because he lies, and she was raised by her father! He called the boss, and told him a ball faced lie about me talking about his family and him behind his back. I had been there almost a year without any problems until Rudy did this. The boss and I got into an argument because I couldnt believe he truly believed Rudy. So i was fired period. Afterwards, I called Rudy for a recorded 11 second phone call and told him he had got me fired, yes I cussed him out, because I THOUGHT we were friends or at least good associates. I trained him and his sister at the SAME time and everything else after he got the other girl fired. He and Jimmy had talked numerous times, and our daughter even knew his name. So I told him to come back and shove the job up his a**. He told me he wasnt coming back, so I told him to have a nice life, and I hung up on him!!! After that my fiancee called him and left a message which i heard and he simply told Rudy he was a piece of shit for getting me fired and that one day they would meet and settle it man to man. Rudy immediately called back cussing at him, and he asked where we were and he told us he would be sending someone for us, to just wait!! Then he called the boss and told him I assume, because not minutes after we hung up with him, my company phone was shut off. Of course we didnt wait, we went home, and left it at that. THAT IS THE TRUTH!!! The next day, we came back, ONLY to pick up my check, and Rudy was back working there. Jimmy told Rudy to come outside, but Rudy held his finger up, like hold on, and got on his cell phone. Calling Finch I assume now. Jimmy did not come back inside after Rudy did not go outside, he went across the street to wait at the car. I was still talking with the owner. That is when Lois came out and spoke with Jimmy, Rudy looked out the window talkin bout, he better not start nothin with my mama, and I told him to shut the F up, cuz there was no problems, once i got my check I would never come back, it was done…I then went across the street and spoke with her also, and that is when we found out what Rudy had told his mother and stepfather. Which she DID NOT believe, and she went back inside to her job, there was never a voice raised, or a curse word said and she knows that too. We went to the mailboxes there on the side of the store, and put a flyer in the two that were there. They were buyer beware flyers about a buisness, thats all, no threat to any family or names involved. As Jimmy was getting in the car, Finch sped up behind us, and jumped out of his truck ran to one of the mailboxes, and pulled out a flyer. I knew who he was, and what he was ONLY from Rudys’ mouth. I told Jimmy we should leave, and as we pulled off, Finch ran back to his truck, and there was NEVER anyone else in the car with him like he claimed in the beginning. As we pulled off, it was summer, we had the windows down, and we both heard him yell, “HEY! Come back here you MFing N******!!!! Don’t run now Bi*****”!! And he came squealing tires out of the parking lot toward us. When Jimmy saw him behind us, we took off, and when I turned around again, he had a silver handgun pointed at our car! The sun was gleaming off of it. It couldnt be missed or mistaken for anything else. I freaked out of course, and the second time, I looked he was SMILING from ear to ear, and laughing.
     This whole thing is disgusting, noone has to lie about anyone that bad, and what reason would I have to lie?? Rudy is just a coward who has brought shame to his family, and they dont even realize it yet. I feel sorry for all the supporters of Rudy or Finch. And let me just say this, I hold no actual vendetta for Finch, I STRONGLY dislike him for what he put me through, but all this could have been avoided, if Rudy would have just told the truth. I feel sorry for Finch also, we never knew that man, I had seen him twice in my year of working there, and he wouldnt deal with me either time, I later found out it was due to my “genetic tan”, yes for those of you who dont know we are both biracial….half african american/and half caucasian. So I never actually met him at all, EVER!! Before RUDY got him involved. RUDY called him and told him a lie.
     And as for you Rudy, you can portray yourself as a nazi and a racist all you want to on your profile, but deep down you know its wrong, and how would your black friend who went to PA with you feel about seeing that profile??? Ya need to think before ya speak. As for the NAACP, just like Finch or you, whoever, called ANSWP, we didnt have to call anyone, and noone paid for any bills, or any move like Rudy would like to think they did. As I remember Rudy, during our time working together, you were the one who had to ask the boss to front you money for your rent or you would be kicked out, and when he did, he took the whole amount from your next check, and you were sooo hot, that you sat in the lobby and talked to a customer about him. Now who really talked about him behind his back, huh Rudy? They morally supported us, and wanted to get the message across, that this is still an issue in our country, but did they send a mass mailing disrupting the lives of us and unsuspecting Vance County households?? NO!!….PERIOD!! And for the family, all the stuff I ever heard about any of you, was straight from your dear Rudys’ mouth. So thank him for that while youre supporting his bs.
     So like Rudy I have made my point, and you can compare it to any article you find, and it is the same story NO MATTER WHAT. So as for the media getting it wrong like someone said earlier, I agree they do sometimes, but not when it counts. The only person who lied in the media was Finch. And proof of this is where is ANSWP now? I guess since he threatened a white man, they wont help huh……….And I’m gonna leave it at that!!
